HOWARD GLICK is a founding member of Simpson, McMahan, Glick & Burford, “SMG&B”. Prior to the formation of SMG&B, Howard was a partner at the firm of Spain & Gillon located in Birmingham. In his 22 years of professional experience, Howard has concentrated on complex commercial litigation matters, including insurance coverage litigation, insurance insolvency litigation, life & disability insurance litigation, ERISA, class action cases, construction defect litigation, employment related litigation, personal injury and a variety of other types of litigation involving complex regulatory, scientific and technical issues.

He routinely handles such matters on behalf of insurers and corporate insureds in state and federal courts in Alabama and elsewhere. Howard has represented a wide variety of clients in the insurance and construction industries including large commercial insurers, guaranty associations, life insurers, disability insurers, general contractors, paving contractors, framing contractors and mechanical and electrical contractors. Howard serves as the General Counsel to the Alabama Insurance Guaranty Association and has been a presenter at various seminars on issues involving insurance coverage and construction litigation.
